Domus Lake Resort: The First Gamer Hotel in LATAM Opens Its Doors in Villa Carlos Paz

Villa Carlos Paz is making a name for itself in tech tourism with the launch of its first gamified hotel, Domus Lake Resort, marking a milestone in the gaming and esports industry in the region.

With over three hundred attendees, Villa Carlos Paz has boldly stepped into the future of tourism and entertainment by inaugurating Ciudad Gamer, the first gamified city in Latin America. This innovative project transforms the Cordoban town into a tourist destination for gamers, with the highlight being the opening of Domus Lake Resort, the first hotel in the region specifically designed for gaming and esports enthusiasts.

Located in the heart of Villa Carlos Paz, Domus Lake Resort offers a unique experience with fully gamified facilities. Among its most notable features, the hotel has a gaming room equipped with high-end computers and a streaming room fully set up for live broadcasts. Additionally, the hotel’s playroom includes racing simulators, arcades, and a professional streaming area, establishing the resort as a benchmark for gamers and esports teams.

Ciudad Gamer aims not only to attract players from around the world but also to solidify Villa Carlos Paz as a key destination in the gaming industry. This project, driven by the Master Plan for Sustainable Tourism, has garnered support from major institutions, including the Argentine Association of Electronic Sports and Video Games (DEVA) and BEN Group.

The Mayor of Villa Carlos Paz, Esteban Avilés, highlighted the importance of this initiative, emphasizing the city’s commitment to new generations: “We are creating a tourism destination adapted to the future, and Ciudad Gamer is the first big step in that direction.”

Ciudad Gamer also seeks to broaden the entertainment options for the thousands of young people who visit the city each year, gamifying local attractions like water parks, restaurants, and dance venues. This approach not only diversifies tourist activities but also positions Villa Carlos Paz as an attractive destination for student tourism.

Eric Manrique, CEO of BEN Group, emphasized the opportunities this project brings to brands: “Ciudad Gamer has the potential to attract multiple industries, with brands gamifying hotels and participating in gamer arenas.” Companies like Grupo FlechaBus, OCASA, and DEMASLED have already announced their support for the project.

The artistic dimension is also present in Ciudad Gamer, thanks to the renowned artist Mario Lange, who designed the official logo of the city and contributed artistic interventions at Domus Lake Resort. This cultural collaboration reinforces the project’s innovative and multidisciplinary character.
