02 Mar Coldplay presents A Film For The Future, the visual companion to Moon Music
Coldplay announces the release of A Film For The Future, an audiovisual work accompanying their latest album, Moon Music. With a runtime of 44 minutes, the film will be released on January 22 on YouTube and will feature special 360-degree screenings in London, Manchester, and Seoul.

The project is a creative mosaic built with contributions from 150 visual artists from 45 countries, who, without rules or contact with one another, developed pieces inspired by fragments of the album. The result is a “multimedia tapestry” described as a kaleidoscope of styles and emotions.

Directed by Ben Mor, known for his work on Hymn for the Weekend, the short film stands out for its artistic ambition. “It was a privilege to collaborate with so many talented animators and filmmakers. The result is impressive, and we’re excited to share it with Coldplay fans,” said the director.

The band hinted at this project as early as 2019, with a car plate featured on the cover of Everyday Life. A Film For The Future promises to be an immersive experience celebrating the union between music and visual art.
