13 Ago A Big Announcement for the Trending Anime, Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling is originally a South Korean web novel created by Chugong that ran from 2014 to 2021. This story received its animated adaptation in early 2024, produced by A-1 Pictures, and featured 12 episodes. Its second part, known as Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadow, further boosted the popularity of the work and made it the most-watched anime on Crunchyroll. Now, a new project for this anime has been announced, but this time for Netflix.
The huge success of this anime caught the attention of major industry producers. In that regard, Netflix bet on this work and decided to create a live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling.
On its website, the platform presented the project as follows: “The upcoming live-action adaptation promises to showcase vibrant characters, dynamic action sequences, and thrilling adventures, created by a top-tier visual effects team.”
On its social media, the platform announced who will play the protagonist of the work. South Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok will bring Sung Jin-woo to life in this adaptation. He has been part of famous Korean dramas such as Lovely Runner and A Girl from the 19th Century, and now he will join this major project.
For now, there is no confirmed release date for the Solo Leveling live-action adaptation.
