Arab music and singing competition

Egypt and Jordan have taken victory at the 15th edition of the Arab Music and Singing Competition organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union. The results of the Arab Music and Singing Competition 2025 have been announced following two days of jury assessment. Eleven songs and eight musical pieces were submitted to the contest from Algeria, Comoros, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Oman, Tunisia and Yemen. The theme for this years contest for “patriotism”.

The results of the Song Contest were:

  • Jordan – Nabil Sammour – “Ka’ana nawafidh albayt tabkini (كأن نوافذ البيت تبكيني)”
  • Oman – Abdul Hamid Al-Kayoumi – “Watan almajd (وطن المجد)”

The winning Jordanian entry was written by Fahd Ramadan, and the music and arrangement were by Mohamed Sobhi Ezzat Bushnaq.

The results of the Musical composition contest were:

  • Egypt – “Musiqaa alnidal (موسيقى النضال)” – Composed & arranged by Dr. Ehab Abdel Salam
  • Jordan – “Dhikrayat ealaa altariq (ذكريات على الطريق) ” – Composed by Aws Bassam Zahi Marji, arranged by Khaled Tawfik
  • The jury that determined the results was formed of:
  • Mohamed El Helw (Egypt) – Singer and musician
  • Shukri Omar Al-Hanashi (Tunisia) – Singer and composer
  • Samira Al-Qadri (Morocco) – Singer and musicologist
  • Azhari Muhammad (Sudan) – Poet
  • Dalal Al-Maqhawi (Kuwait) – Poet

The winners will be present at the Opening Ceremony for the 25th Arab Radio and Television Festival, which will be held in Hammamet, Tunisia on June 23.
