Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 leaked to arrive in 2025 with many surprises

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 could be a reality and much closer than all players imagined. Despite the release of the sixth game in the series in 2024, everything points to the next installment being released sometime this year.

This is something that has broken the mold of all fans of the popular Activision game. After the release of a title in the Black Ops series, the most normal thing would have been for a Modern Warfare title to be released this year, something that ultimately won’t happen, to the surprise of many.

This isn’t official information yet, but all the leaks right now point in this direction. Specifically, what stands out is a post by a Reddit user named Bigbby, who claims to have participated in a Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 studio session, thus confirming other previous leaks.

A leak reveals some surprising details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
But it’s not just the fact that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be released this year, but also several other relevant details about the video game. Below, we take a look at the most relevant details.

To begin with, perhaps the most striking thing is that it won’t be a sequel to the previous installment, but rather a direct continuation of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. This way, we’ll experience a “time jump,” somewhat similar to what happened between the first two installments of the series.

We’ll see characters like Woods and Masons again in the campaign mode, which can be played cooperatively by up to four players. Regarding this mode, there’s also talk of the existence of an open-world map called “Avalon.”

Now it’s time to talk about one of the most successful modes in the series: Zombies. According to the leak, this would be one of the key elements of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and it is also expected to feature the largest round-based map in the history of the game mode. Additionally, a remake of one of the maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Tranzit, is expected.

The protagonists of this game mode would be the original team composed of the four World at War characters, thus bringing back some long-standing acquaintances from the franchise, much loved by fans.

Regarding multiplayer, the most notable aspect of this leak is that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 would feature a new 32-vs-32 match mode. A major new feature that we’ll see how Activision develops.

Finally, omnimovement, the system that allowed us to wall-run in other installments, will also be making a comeback.
