AEROMACHINA: A New Retro-Styled Metroidvania Announced for PC

Independent studio Meteor Magic Games has officially announced its first game: AEROMACHINA, a 3D Metroidvania featuring a visual style reminiscent of classic PlayStation 1 titles.

In this adventure, players take on the role of Bogey, an amnesiac android who wakes up in a devastated world where humanity has vanished. With an unyielding desire to fly and uncover the truth, players must battle mechanical enemies while exploring the remnants of civilization.

The game offers dynamic combat mechanics inspired by beat ‘em up games, alongside a variety of upgradeable weapons. Its non-linear level design encourages exploration, with different paths and challenges becoming available depending on the abilities acquired. AEROMACHINA will also include a Speedrun Mode, a New Game+ option, and a randomizer mode for added replayability.

Visually, the game stands out with its polygonal aesthetic, aiming to replicate the graphical style of 1990s titles. Combined with a cast of charismatic characters, these elements promise a unique experience within the Metroidvania genre.

AEROMACHINA will be released on PC via Steam, though no official launch date has been confirmed yet. However, Meteor Magic Games has announced that a demo will be available soon, allowing players to try the game before its official release.
