Chappell Roan is having a breakthrough year in 2025. Fresh off winning Best New Artist at the 67th Grammy Awards and taking home two trophies at The BRIT Awards, she recently shared the stage with Elton John. Now, she’s keeping the momentum going by announcing the release date for her long-teased country track, “The Giver”, set to drop this month.
Roan took to social media to share her excitement, revealing that she co-wrote the song with Dan Nigro: “We’ve never done a country song, and I have such a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up surrounded by it—on the school bus, at bonfires, grocery stores, and karaoke bars.”
Addressing speculation about a full country album, she teased, “Right now, I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun.”
Fans are thrilled, especially after she performed “The Giver” on Saturday Night Live months ago. Roan has also teased playful alternate versions, including a Plumber Edition and Lawyer Edition. This marks her first new release since “Good Luck, Babe!” in April 2024, proving that even without new music, her star has only continued to rise.
