Bonestorm, the Game Bart Wanted, Is Now Playable

The Simpsons is a series with millions of fans around the world, and to this day, it continues to captivate audiences. Some fans, however, take their love for the yellow family even further. One such fan has perfectly recreated one of the fictional video games from the series: Bonestorm.

Bonestorm is now real, and you can play it on itch.io thanks to Marutho. This dedicated fan shared on their TikTok account that developing the game took them countless hours using the Procreate app. Additionally, they had to create approximately 20 sprites from scratch and apply a render texture to give it the retro look seen in the show.

The game is quite simple—players can only attack, and each fight lasts just a few seconds. However, it successfully captures the essence of what was seen in the series.

Alongside Bonestorm, there’s also the case of Aaron Demeter, another fan who perfectly recreated one of The Simpsons’ fictional video games. This time, it’s Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge, the boring golf game Marge gives Bart for Christmas instead of Bonestorm.

In this case, the game is deliberately disappointing. The most fun part is choosing to replicate the exact actions Bart takes at the end of the episode where the game appears.
