EA Brings Back The Sims and The Sims 2 in 2025

The iconic life simulation franchise, The Sims, turns 25 and Electronic Arts is celebrating with the re-release of two of its most beloved titles. Starting January 31, 2025, players will be able to relive the original experience with The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, available on PC via the EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

The 25th Anniversary Bundle includes both games along with their expansions and additional content. They can also be purchased separately for those who prefer to choose their favorite version. EA Play Pro will offer unlimited access to both collections for its subscribers.

These re-releases allow players to re-experience the most iconic moments of the series, from the first attempts to build the perfect house to the chaos of alien abductions and wishes granted (or ruined) by magical genies.

The Sims: Legacy Collection brings together the base game and classic expansion packs like Lively, House Party, Vacation, and Magical Magic, as well as the Retro Style Kit for The Sims 4.

The Sims 2: Legacy Collection includes all of its expansion packs and stuff packs, including University, Nightlife, Bon Voyage, and Mansions & Gardens, along with the Grunge Style Kit for The Sims 4.

In addition to the re-release of the classic games, EA announced MySims: Cozy Bundle, coming to PC on March 18, 2025 as a new tribute to the franchise.
