27 Dic Gwen Stefani Goes Bananas Performing ‘Hollaback Girl’ on ‘Tonight Show’
Gwen Stefani took a nostalgic trip down memory lane during her appearance on The Tonight Show, where she performed her iconic hit “Hollaback Girl” alongside Jimmy Fallon and The Roots using classroom instruments.
Fallon played drums and percussion while Stefani sang into a banana-shaped shaker, with the band joining in with kazoos, toy xylophones, and tambourines. The group skipped the song’s famous refrain, but still enthusiastically shouted the “B-A-N-A-N-A-S” chorus.
Originally released in 2004, “Hollaback Girl” was a massive success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks. The song was co-written with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes.
Stefani recently released her fifth solo album, Bouquet, which includes collaborations with husband Blake Shelton. She also dropped her new single, “Somebody Else’s,” last week.
