Inzoi, the Sims competitor from PUBG developer Krafton, is attracting many new fans through its character creation demo, which shows off its ultra-realistic graphics.

It uses the same strategy as other games like Dragon’s Dogma 2, releasing the character creator portion early.

The full version of Inzoi is expected in late 2024 and is described as “a life simulation game where players become gods within the game, allowing them to change everything as they please and experience endless new stories in various ways of life.”

This already had The Sims fans scratching their heads, but the character creator demo seems to have caught their attention completely. The Sims 4 is almost a decade old now, but beyond that it has been criticized for only including basic features and charging users for countless expansion packs.

“Our goal with Inzoi is to create a world where creativity is limitless, and where every choice leads to new and unexpected experiences,” said director and producer Hyungjun Kim. “We want players to enjoy not only the joy of creating their ideal life, but also the thrill of navigating a dynamic and evolving world.”

It also says a lot of good things for life simulator fans, such as that there will be mod support from the very beginning. First day and that inZOI will also have support after launch.

Many still have reservations, of course, apparently because the genre has not received much care and attention in recent years, but even those who have doubts seem quietly optimistic.

Only time will tell what it will look like. Krafton did not announce inZOI until November 2023 and the character creator post indicates that development is progressing smoothly, but the end of 2024 is getting closer, so a release date should be announced soon.
