Dark Hours, new demo on Steam

Dark Hours has made a strong entrance into the world of Steam. This curious multiplayer horror proposal has a demo available on the Valve platform, and although the official launch is still a long way off, this first contact has convinced thousands of players.

In Dark Hours we take control of a group of thieves who have made a bad choice when it comes to stealing. They sneak into an auction house, where they are trapped with a monster that will try to hunt them down at all costs. The monster is only one of their concerns, (although the most dangerous) since in addition to trying to outwit the thieves they will have to avoid the building’s security systems so that they are not discovered. If the alarm goes off, you can consider yourself dead.

The multiplayer component means that you and up to three friends must coordinate well to deactivate the systems and escape from the monster. You will have to solve puzzles by cooperating with each other, and taking into account that the rooms and environments are generated procedurally, there will never be a robbery like the previous one. The game ends when you get out safely through the door.

The amount of points at the end of the game increases based on the loot you’ve managed to take, so if something shines… go for it. Plus, the stealing mechanic is a fun way to create rivalry between teammates, since as the game’s Steam description says: “there is no honor among thieves.” You can lighten the load on your teammates’ pockets, but don’t get caught, or the monster will become the least of your problems.

Dark Hours doesn’t have a release date yet, but Piece of Cake Studios hopes to have it on Steam sometime in September of this year.
